Top 10 Musical Performances By Michael Jackson

 The following is a detailed top 5 list of my favourite Michael Jackson live performances.

Number Five - Billie Jean LIVE at Madison Square Garden 2001.

This is from the 25th anniversary concert that was held in honour of Michael Jackson's career and featured many artists who cite MJ as a huge influence including Ne-Yo and Beyoncé. The performance begins with Michael getting his sparkly glove onto his hand and putting his iconic Billie Jean costume on. He then launches into possibly one of the best performances of 'Billie Jean' anyone has ever seen.

Number Four - Shake Your Body Down To The Ground (LIVE 1987 at Yokahoma Stadium)

The first time I heard of this performance is from the audio version I listen to on my Amazon Alexa. My favourite part of this performance is the fact that Michael and his legendary live band broke down the song and made it so good. Better than the studio version if I'm being honest.

Number Three - Dangerous (LIVE 2002)

I normally don't like this song as I personally think it can't be performed live. But this performance is the only exception. Only because he does this killer dance routine which by the way was choreographed by Travis Payne.

Number Two - This Place Hotel (LIVE 1987)

This is one of my favourite Michael Jackson performances because of the way it is introduced in the setlist. It comes after 'Wanna Be Starting Something' which is the perfect transition in my opinion.

Number One - Billie Jean (LIVE at Motown TV Special)

This is the best live performance Michael has ever done. Why? Well look at it this way. This was the first time he performed the moonwalk live which is his most iconic dance move ever. This was never before performed live and Michael actually almost didn't perform this song. I really like the Jackson 5's set as well as it contains my favourite Jackson 5 song 'Never Can Say Goodbye'.
